Encaustic artist Isabelle Gaborit opens the doors of her beautiful lakeside art studio, allowing guests to witness her own creative practice as well as exploring their own.
During your stay, Isabelle will share with you her passion for the beautiful area where her studio is located in the quiet village of Whitegate. She will introduce visitors to the basic techniques of encaustic painting, sharing its spontaneous virtues of working with texture and colours and its versatility with building up layers.
After the short walk by the scenic lakeshores to get the creative juices flow, we will set up in my artist studio where I will do a short demonstration of the encaustic process and show you how I create a painting from start to finish. Under Isabelle’s guidance, you will then have the opportunity to experience this unique way of painting and quickly and easily learn to create beautiful artworks and embellish it using a wide range of techniques.
