Lough Derg, known as Ireland’s “pleasure lake” is a hive of activity. Located only two minutes from Terryglass Quay, Paddy’s Bar and Restaurant offers a riverside setting. The pub is family run by the Tierney family who purchased Paddy’s in 2006. Brendan Tierney is a local farmer, while Mairead hails from the Silvermines in Nenagh, Co. Tippeary, herself reared in a family run pub in Dolla.
Paddy’s Bar is the true home of a traditional Irish welcome with great food and drink served for nearly 200 years. Part of its charm is the unique mix of local characters whose families have been customers of the pub for centuries and visitors.
Savour the locally produced home-cooked food.
If your idea of a good night out is velvet pints, open fires and fiddlers raising the roof then Paddy’s Bar in Terryglass is the pub for you.
