Materials are laid out\, studied and combined\, suggesting how individual fragments might come together to form a single\, unified object. \nIn the paintings and collages\, ideas of transformation\, light and the sublime come to the fore. Dust and debris are incorporated directly into the paint\, while luminous colour palettes evoke rays of natural light\, theatrical lighting and the transformative power of makeup. \nThrough this interplay of materials\, light and composition\, Glittering Eye invites viewers to reconsider the beauty and potential hidden within the overlooked and the everyday.

DESCRIPTION:Windows of Imperfection – An Exhibition by Aoife O’Brien\, August 1st – 31st\, FREE \nLaunch: Friday 7th of August\, 6:30pm. \nWindow of Imperfection explores the relationship between material\, time and attention through a series of works created using traditional and alternative photographic processes. \nRooted in slow\, tactile methods\, the work reflects patterns of growth\, erosion and renewal found in the natural world. Rather than seeking perfection\, these pieces embrace variation\, imperfection and material traces\, allowing marks\, textures and subtle shifts to remain as part of the work’s visual language. \nThis exhibition invites viewers into a quieter\, more attentive way of looking. Through careful observation\, the images reveal themselves gradually\, encouraging a pause from urgency and a deeper\, more reflective engagement with both subject and process.
