SUMMARY:Craft Share & Repair
DESCRIPTION:Craft Share & Repair Workshops\, 10am-1pm\, FREE\, no booking required. \nA space for crafters and wannabe crafters in Nenagh. \nShare your love of textile crafts\, repairing or up-cycling. This informal workshop is an ongoing group where we support one another with our mending\, alterations\, knitting\, embroidery and other textile crafts. Materials\, support\, inspiration and a cuppa are all available for FREE! \nBring a project you are working on\, or bring clothes that you want to repair. Or simply bring yourself\, materials\, ideas and cups of tea are available free of charge. All welcome\, no previous skill required. \nA crafters get together\, for people to share their enthusiasms\, skills\, social time and materials. It is also about encouraging the repair of clothing and textile objects to prolong use and discourage unnecessary consumption. \nUpcoming Dates 2026: \nSaturday May 2nd: 2pm – 4pm: Craft Materials Bring and Swap If you love crafting\, you probably have materials that you thought you’d use one day taking up space in the press. Clean out that unused stash and share it with others who love crafting too. Be warned\, you might go home with some of their shared materials! This year’s programme at Nenagh Arts Centre offers a warm and welcoming series of events from film screenings and creative workshops to social gatherings and artistic exploration – all designed to inspire connection\, reflection and enjoyment. \nTuesday May 5th\, 3pm – DROP IN\nMovie Matinee: Singin’ in the Rain\nSettle in for a classic movie matinee featuring the much-loved musical Singin’ in the Rain. Enjoy this timeless film with complimentary teas and coffees in a comfortable and sociable setting. \nMonday May 11th\, 11am – 1pm\nMeditative Art Class for Seniors with Melissa Ryan\nA gentle\, reflective art session designed especially for seniors. This relaxed class encourages mindfulness\, creativity and self-expression through guided artistic practice. \n\nBOOK HERE\n\n  \nTuesday May 12th\, 2pm – 4pm\nCraft Workshop: ‘Plastic Petals’ Workshop with Kay O’Donoghue\nEnjoy a creative afternoon making seasonal crafts in a friendly and welcoming environment\, embracing the themes of renewal\, connection and creativity at the heart of Bealtaine. \nTuesday May 19th\, 2pm – 4pm – DROP IN\nAfternoon Tea & Film\nA welcoming social gathering featuring tea\, coffee and screenings of short films by Tony O’Donoghue\, including Irish Folk Furniture and A Film from My Parish – 6 Farms. A chance to relax\, reminisce and enjoy stories of Irish life and craft. \nWednesday May 27th\, 7pm – 10pm – DROP IN\nFlower Club – Bealtaine Celebration\nJoin the Flower Club for a special evening celebrating Bealtaine through floral creativity and seasonal inspiration. All are welcome to enjoy the displays and share in a relaxed\, social atmosphere.
