Fishing For Kids offers a day course to young people, where they are introduced to fishing in a friendly and safe environment. We are located in the beautiful picturesque area of Ballina/Killaloe Co. Clare. Lough Derg is well known worldwide. The most southerly lake on the River Shannon, it is famous for its stocks of pike and trout. Killaloe is easily reachable as it is just 10 minutes from Nenagh and 20 minutes from Limerick City. This scenic area is the ideal place for a family holiday. With lots of things to see and do, Killaloe can keep the family happy. A day at Fishing for Kids will entertain children and introduce them to a new lifestyle and a new hobby to keep them entertained for the rest of their lives.
We endeavour to bring to each child the knowledge required on how to select, set up and operate a standard spinning fishing rod. Select various baits and lures and choose the correct worms. When having caught a fish, how to unhook it and release it unharmed back into the water. Children will also learn safety and responsibility near and on the water. We strive to ensure each child gets as much enjoyment as possible from his/her outing.
