DESCRIPTION:Now in its 3rd year\, Thomas MacDonagh Hedge School 2025 offers a unique opportunity to the culturally curious to learn about\, and engage with\, one of Cloughjordan’s finest\, the poet-patriot Thomas MacDonagh\, as part of an annual 4-day programme that includes a writing workshop\, art exhibition\, inspirational talks\, interactive discussions\, and poetry readings held in The Thomas MacDonagh Museum in Cloughjordan\, Co Tipperary. \nThe theme for this year’s programme is Political Theatre: Learning from the past? The programme of events will draw inspiration from the 110th anniversary of the Funeral of O’Donovan Rossa (1/8/1915)\, a significant event of political theatre which was a rehearsal for the 1916. O’Donovan Rossa’s great-grandson Williams Rossa Cole is one of our invited speakers.
