Shorelines Arts Festival

The Shorelines Arts Festival, held annually in September in the lakeside town of Portumna, is dedicated to fostering the arts in the local community and the surrounding Lough Derg and Slieve Aughties region. Organised by the Portumna Arts Group, the festival supports and encourages local artists while also welcoming guest artists to share their work. With a strong emphasis on literature, visual arts, drama, and music/song, Shorelines celebrates creativity in all its forms. The festival also hosts workshops and interactive events, providing opportunities for all members of the community to engage with and develop their artistic expression.
