Wilde Irish Chocolates

Established in 1997, Wilde Irish Chocolates is Clare’s original chocolate factory and a must-visit attraction on the shores of Lough Derg. Offering visitors a behind-the-scenes look at a real working chocolate factory, the experience is a treat for all the senses. Entry is free, with the option to book a chocolate factory experience, perfect for families, children, and small groups. Alongside the factory, there’s a Hot Chocolate Café & Coffee Dock, a Build Your Own Chocolate Bar experience, and a chocolate shop filled with handcrafted treats.

Dedicated to sustainability, all chocolates are made using 100% sustainably sourced cocoa, and packaging is now 90% plastic-free and fully recyclable. With free parking for cars, minibuses, and coaches, it’s a deliciously rewarding stopon any trip to Killaloe, Lough Derg, and the Clare Lakelands—ideal for a fun family outing, a chocolate lover’s dream, or even a rainy-day escape.
