Taking place on Saturday\, February 22nd\, this exciting event is a fantastic opportunity to explore new vegetable crops\, support biodiversity\, and connect with a thriving community of growers and seed savers.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhether you’re an experienced gardener or a complete beginner\, everyone is welcome at the Seed Share. \n• New to gardening? Bring your curiosity and discover a world of seeds\, stories\, and inspiration.• Seasoned grower? Share your saved seeds\, knowledge\, and experiences with others eager to learn. \nHow It Works• No seeds? No problem! You don’t need to bring anything to join the fun—just come along and take part.• Have seeds to share? Fantastic! Please bring them in a labelled container with the crop type\, variety\, and year grown. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy Attend? \nSeed shares are important because they connect people to seeds and each other. Seed shares not only bring seeds home to gardeners\, but also create the opportunity to steward a pollinated variety for years to come! \nIn the last century the world has lost over 75% of its edible plant varieties. A network of home gardeners and growers is vital to boost plant diversity – and that’s why Irish Seed Savers work hard to ensure open-pollinated seeds get into the hands of as many gardeners as possible. By sharing seeds\, we are promoting biodiversity and building a more resilient food system. \nSo come and join us on February 22nd and begin your seed swap journey! \n• Children’s Seed Planting Activity• Expert Guided Tours of Heritage Seed Gardens• Café open 11am – 4.00pm• Amazing food by The Oven vegetarian food truck! \nTo facilitate ease of numbers the Community Seed Share event is scheduled in two separate time slots; 11am-1.30pm and 1.30pm – 4pm. \nTickets €6 / Free for Supporters and Children – Book your ticket here \nImportant Information: \nPlease note that this event is Park and Ride only from Scariff Village to Irish Seed Savers via a FREE BUS service – a short 5 minute journey.
