SUMMARY:Dunne and Hernandez
DESCRIPTION:Dunne and Hernandez\, Saturday 18th July\, 7:30pm\, €20 \nThe acclaimed Dunne & Hernández Duo return to Irish stages with a reunion tour that promises passion\, virtuosity and unforgettable music. \nMany concert-goers will remember Argentinian guitarist and singer Ariel Hernández and Irish accordionist Dermot Dunne\, who between 2003-2010 brought the vibrant spirit of Latin music to audiences across Ireland\, performing in venues from the National Concert Hall to Belfast Opera House and Vicar Street. Their unique partnership blends Ariel’s soulful voice and masterful guitar playing with Dermot’s instrumental brilliance\, moving seamlessly from the drama of Tango to the rich traditions of Chacarera\, Zamba and Chamamé. \nAfter returning to Argentina in 2010\, Ariel settled in the artistic region of Carpintería\, immersing himself in its deeply rooted musical traditions\, recording extensively and performing at festivals throughout the region. \nTheir debut album P’al que se va takes its name from a song about journeys and homecoming\, a fitting sentiment as Ariel now returns to Ireland to reunite with Dermot. Following a hugely successful Irish tour in 2025\, the duo once again take to the road\, performing the dances and songs of Argentina alongside beloved classics\, from the baroque era to iconic cinema scores. \nAn evening of warmth\, rhythm and world-class musicianship awaits.

SUMMARY:Elements – An Exhibition by Andy McCarthy
DESCRIPTION:Elements – An Exhibition by Andy McCarthy\, May 18th – June 5th\, Free Admission \nLaunch: May 21st\, 6pm \nWater\, earth\, fire\, and air. These are the four elements of the world that are essential for all life. This exhibition by Andy McCarthy will concentrate on two of these elements\, earth and water. Andy will examine earth and the role it plays from the perspective of trees. She will also examine water and its importance to all life on planet Earth. \nTrees are essential for our wellbeing. They absorb harmful substances such as pollutant gases\, ammonia\, sulphur dioxide\, and nitrogen oxides by trapping them in barks and leaves. Trees also have the ability to calm people by reducing blood pressure and regulating feelings of anxiety. As well as providing shelter for a wide range of animals such as birds\, insects\, and small mammals\, they also regulate temperature\, reduce noise and air pollution\, and help prevent soil erosion. \nWater is arguably the most essential element of all life and no living thing can survive without it. Water is responsible for energy and food production\, as well as a healthy ecosystem. For people it is needed for so many daily functions: cooking\, washing\, drinking\, and bathing. Water improves brain function\, aids better digestion\, helps long term memory and also boosts physical function. \nThis exhibition will be depicting these elements through Andy’s artistic vision\, a vision that has been inspired by the forces of nature that make this planet so special. \nThrough a series of works inspired by the rhythms and forces of the natural world\, Earth & Water invites viewers to reflect on the delicate balance of these elements and their enduring importance in our lives. \nAge: 18+
