Thomas MacDonagh Hedge School
Now in its 3rd year, Thomas MacDonagh Hedge School 2025 offers a unique opportunity to the culturally curious to learn about, and engage with, one of Cloughjordan’s finest, the poet-patriot Thomas MacDonagh, as part of an annual 4-day programme that includes a writing workshop, art exhibition, inspirational talks, interactive discussions, and poetry readings held in The Thomas MacDonagh Museum in Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary.
The theme for this year’s programme is Political Theatre: Learning from the past? The programme of events will draw inspiration from the 110th anniversary of the Funeral of O’Donovan Rossa (1/8/1915), a significant event of political theatre which was a rehearsal for the 1916. O’Donovan Rossa’s great-grandson Williams Rossa Cole is one of our invited speakers.
